Stark and the Anti-Kickback Statute (AKS) are two of the most well known laws in healthcare. Despite their wide-spread notoriety, they remain two of the most complex laws in healthcare for providers and other industry participants alike. The consequences for non-compliance can be costly, as they are often used in conjunction with the False Claims Act and may result in exclusion from participation in government programs. In December 2020, both CMS and HHS-OIG published new rules related to these two respective laws. This webinar focuses on key aspects of these "new" rules, the ongoing pros and cons of utilizing the new safe harbors, and items to consider as the COVID-19 public health emergency eventually ends.
